C4 Model map in the Codigy Catalog is designed to be maintained by multiple owners. Here are the basic principles:
No Owner Assigned;
Owner Assigned;
Multiple Owners Assigned;
Team (or multiple teams);
Tribe (Group of teams) or multiple Tribes;
Members of the team that is assigned as the owner can:
• View entities on the C4 map;
• Create, edit, and delete entities without approvals;
• Approve and decline changes suggested by anyone who is not an owner;
• Add notes;
• Add reviews of the entities (1-5 star or Yes/No votes);
Anyone who is not an owner of the entity can:
• View entities on the C4 map;
• Suggest changes that will require approval by the owner;
• Add notes;
• Add reviews of the entities (1-5 star or Yes/No votes);
Account owner has super-admin permissions and can make owner-level changes to any entity.
Entities without assigned owners will behave as if anyone is the an owner.
Creating a new entity on the root level: An Owner will be suggested based on the Team Space you have used to access the catalog.
Creating a nested entity: An Owner will be suggested based on the Parent entity.
All suggested edits, approvals, and declines are logged. A change log interface is available for each entity in the catalog.
